Happy Birthday to my beautiful cousin!

Also, I thought this might be the perfect opportunity to point out that the apple, indeed, does not fall far from the tree.

Congrats to Andrew & Danielle!

THEY'RE ENGAGED!!!

Andrew Crough, son of Randy Crough and grandson of Jim Crough, with fiancée Danielle Seymour (and their kiddos, of course!)

Check out Danielle's Facebook page at 12:02 pm yesterday:
Met the man who would change my life forever 7 years ago today. Feeling very blessed!
and then at 5:47 p.m last night:
Just beat Andrew in straight sets at tennis but he still had enough love in his heart to ask me to marry him. I am very excited to soon be Mrs. Andrew Crough! In other words, we are engaged!

Congrats to both of you and Danielle, welcome to the family!

1st Annual Shoes with the Shrivers

This year for the 4th of July we celebrated with the 1st annual "Shoes with the Shrivers"horseshoe tournament and it was a HUGE success!! Lindsey, Ryan, Jeff, Cindy, Alyssa and Digger organized this event with the goal of raising donations for the Jeremiah Wilson Memorial Fund.
Before the horseshoes competition got serious, we enjoyed brisket, beans, salads, brauts, and watermelon (salted of course), and then we moved on to some delightful desserts. Jeff Shriver started up the tractor and Mason Martinez got the first ride. Then the horseshoe tournament began, but started very slowly.... as we had to lower the winning score to keep the pace of play moving! The Championship came down to the "Bam! Zap! Ringers" and the "AI Ringers". The AI Ringers surprised everyone but themselves with their "shoe throwing" talent and won the tournament. After the horseshoe tournament we ended the evening watching the local fireworks. Thanks Digger for your fireworks show, we expect to have a bigger one next year :)
We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to the Jer Wilson Fund. Over $300 was raised from this event!!! Stay tuned for more details about the family that has been chosen to receive Jer's Christmas fund for 2009.
Keep your calendars open for July 4th, 2010 and the 2nd Annual "Shoes with the Shrivers"!

Thanks again,
Ryan and Lindsey Shriver
