Bringing home the hardware!

Join me in congratulating Easton Ryser on his 2nd place finish at the Kansas Tournament of Champions 2 weeks ago.

Way to go, Easton!!!!

And last weekend, Easton brought home his first championship from "The Battle of the Belts" in Maize, KS

Mom said the Mohawk and University of Oklahoma socks were good luck!

The Big Snow

Apologies, Crough's Nest readers...it's been awhile since we've caught up with all the happenings in this fam. Today is Feb. 1st...another snow day for the Midwesterners in the bunch. Thought it might be a good opportunity to give a quick little update on the latest exciting happenings with the gang. (Plus, this might be my last post for awhile...Baby Kimmel is coming very soon!)

Miss Braely Martinez celebrated her 3rd birthday on January 13th. Here's what she's been up to, according to her mama:

"Braely...she's into babies (feeding them, taking them night-night), favorite movie is Shrek, started taking a dance class in January (ballet and tap). She loves doing shuffle step around the house! She loves to sing and will make up a song for every thing she is doing. For her bday we had a McDonalds b-day party with a Shrek cake! She got to invite her "friends." She asks daily when the new baby will be here and wants to name the baby "Baby H" because H is her favorite letter. She gets to share a room with the baby but that took some convincing - she told me the baby should sleep in my room because it's my baby not hers. The girl has a point!"

And this was officially Braely's LAST birthday as the youngest Martinez...little sister is on her way April 2011!

Congrats Sheilah, Roland, Payton, Mason and Braely!!!!!

We can't wait to meet her!

On January 14th, Serena Wilson also celebrated Birthday #3!

Here's a Serena update from Grandma Pam:

She had a fun 3rd Birthday. Celebrated with 8 little friends or so. (in that group were triplets that are 4) She told me they were matching girls!!!! Kari took a picture of the group and they made a picture frame out of beads and shells etc. Something of their own to take home. It was really neat. It was a cupcake Birthday Party. Serena had a huge one to bite into, that is after she blew out her 3 candles. She loves doing arts and crafts and grandma has glitter!!!!! She likes Tinker Bell all kinds of music including Lawrence Welk she sings the closing song (Good Night) by heart. Grandpa Tim taught it to her. The Music Man, Mary Poppins are some of her favorites movies.Loves the outdoors and right now all the snow. Favorite color she tells me is pink, but it really depends on what color she has on for the day. She loves her family. Easton is the best Big brother and right now is sporting a Mohawk which she said it looks good.

Speaking of Serena's daddy, James celebrated his 31st birthday on December 19th.
